Broward County, FL - A South Florida man has been arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition after he allegedly exposed himself to an 8-year-old girl.
Broward County police officers took 61-year-old Gary Bernard Burke into custody on charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition of a person 18 years or older to a victim under 16.
According to Burke’s arrest report, a woman hired the 61-year-old to clean her vehicle and home.
However, the situation took a disturbing turn when the woman's daughter reported that Burke entered her bedroom while she was changing clothes and masturbated in front of her.
The child recounted how Burke allegedly asked the child, "what are you wearing?"
Fort Lauderdale police were alerted to the incident by the woman, who reported Burke’s inappropriate behavior.
Burke, who is reportedly homeless, was located by officers and taken into custody on unrelated charges.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
