Rick Allen.  Rick Allen grew up in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He graduated high school and then went on to play college football for Maryville College right outside of Knoxville.  His focus of study being communications, never knowing he would someday be a radio host.  He then married his school sweetheart with whom he is still married to today.  After school he decided he wanted to follow in his grandfathers passion.... construction and trades.  He obtained his contractors license, real estate license, insurance license, and went to work.  He has built houses, remodeled houses, sold houses and bought houses.  He says " I have made every mistake there is to make in buying, selling, building and remodeling ! "  He has learned some things the hard way over the 25 plus years that he has been in this business!  He loves what he does and that is to talk to and help YOU!  He hung his tool belt up 11 years ago after he stepped behind a microphone, although he still puts it on every chance he gets for charities and any other reason he can find.  He had found a new way to help others....a very rewarding way!!  Rick no longer owns or operates a construction business he studies new products, visits manufacturing plants on a regularly.  His show is not about promoting his business or he is not just a radio personality...he is an expert in his field and if he doesn't know an answer he will know an expert who does!  He has unmatched humor and a way with people that makes them feel at ease.  He loves to cook and eat good cooking and may share with his listeners, a recipe or two.
